The teachings and philosophy of Kautilya, also known as Chanakya, have found acceptance not only in India but also in Netherlands with a city-based NGO introducing a book in Dutch on political strategies and financial management propagated by the world's first management Guru.

Kautilya's work was first published in a book titled 'Kautilya's Arthshastra; the way of financial management and economic governance' in English in 2009. It is now available in Dutch as a joint effort of Praan Solutions, Multilibris and Mumbai-based NGO Priyadarshni Academy, a release here said.

Kautilya, who lived from 350-275 BC, was a great political strategist, economist, educator and an expert in diplomacy. His teachings needs to be rediscovered in India as well as abroad, says chairman of Priyadarshni Academy, Nanik Rupani.

He had a holistic approach for societal problems, education, economics, governance, business and financial management and was the man behind the rise of Chandragupta, the first Mauryan Emperor, Rupani said.

The book in Dutch is in great demand in Netherlands and is a first of its kind in a foreign language.
