CCTV cameras in all govt hospital in Haryana

Haryana, chief Parliamentary secretary, Ram Kishan Fouji today said that CCTV cameras would be installed in the government hospitals to "monitor interaction between the doctors and the patients".

"These cameras would also record the behavior of doctors with the patients in the OPDs", he said.

Fouji who addressed a public gathering here, said that the state government was considering the implementation of the scheme for installing CCTVs in the hospitals and the same would materialise soon.

He said that a scheme was being proposed to provide round the clock services in all the Primary Health Centres of the state.

It would also redress the grievances of people about hospitals remaining closed at odd hours.

The villagers now would have the convenience of availability of doctors and nurses 24 hours a day on all week days. Mini dispensaries would also be opened for providing health facilities to the poor people residing in the slums of urban areas, he said.

He said that a sum of Rs20 crore had been earmarked for the modernization of the hospitals of Hisar district. Larsen and Toubro a reputed private company had been authorized to carry out the construction work.

A sum of Rs300 crore would be spent in the current financial year for the repair and maintenance of all the hospitals, he said.

Under this scheme, all the hospitals, Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres would have ultra modern buildings equipped with latest equipment and facilities according to the specifications of Indian Public Health Standards.
