Cavalcade of BSP candidate attacked in Jaunpur

Jaunpur (UP): The cavalcade of a BSP candidate for Rari assembly seat was allegedly attacked by unidentified persons during polling for by-elections here today.

The miscreants, allegedly members of a rival group, pelted stone on the cavalcade of BSP candidate Rajdev Singh at Tikrara police station area while he was on his way to a polling centre in Satalpur village, police said.

In the incident, the window pane of a vehicle was damaged but no one was injured, they said.

Rajdev Singh is the father of BSP MP from Jaunpur Dhananjay Singh.
