Dhirubhai Mackwana left a suicide note saying he was taking his life as he had been unable to prevent the accident that caused the deaths on the Tarapur-Vataman road in Anand.

A Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) bus driver allegedly committed suicide two days after being involved in an accident which killed seven people on the Tarapur-Vataman road in Anand, police said today.
On June 27, seven people died in a road accident between a GSRTC bus driven by Dhirubhai Makwana (42), and a car in Tarapur taluk of the district.
Mackwana, who had escaped from the accident spot and gone to his village Mota Kalodra yesterday, allegedly consumed poison, causing his death, police said.
According to the police, Mackwana left a suicide note saying he was taking the extreme step as he had been unable to prevent the mishap and the resulting deaths. In the letter, Mackwana also said that nobody was to blame for his death, they said.
A case has been registered at the Tarapore police station, police added.
