The spokesperson of BSP's Karnataka unit was today expelled from the party for his comments on the Mayawati garland of notes, a move which he described as "unceremonious".
Y N Sharma said he had not made any statement against the party and only clarified that the garland was not sent from Karnataka as speculated in a section of the media.
He expressed anguish over the action taken against him, which he descried as "unceremonious".
"There is no internal democracy in the party. The social inclusion concept of taking Brahmins and Dalits together is not working at all," Sharma told PTI.
"I am not going to fight back. I will accept the decision of the leadership," he said.
Asserting that he has not committed any crime talking to the media, Sharma said "I have not done anything wrong."
He went on to add, "They (the BSP) have objected that they have not authorised me to speak to the media. They have not commented whether I am right or wrong, they are saying that I am not authorised to speak."
Sharma on Monday disclosed that it was a garland of currency notes when the party was trying to make out that it was a garland of flowers from Mysore forest.
