The Samajwadi Party today accused the Uttar Pradesh government of creating fear among people over the Ayodhya title suit verdict slated to be delivered by the Allahabad high court bench in Lucknow on September 24.

"Neither the parties concerned have made any adverse comment nor the political parties have made any attempt to vitiate the communal atmosphere, yet the BSP government has gone ahead with creating temporary jails in different districts causing terror among the common people," party national general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav told reporters.

"When everyone has stated that the court verdict will be acceptable to all, the state government has created temporary jails in schools, colleges and panchayat buildings all over the state," Yadav said, adding that this has led to unwanted tension and fear.

On his party's stand on the 60-year-old problem, he said the SP has always rooted for a decision through dialogue or the court.
