Boy, 10, shoots sister, 8, while playing

A girl playing with her brother at their home had a tragic death when the 10-year-old accidentally fired at his younger sister in Khatima area of Udhamsingh Nagar district, the Uttarakhand police said today.

Mabiya (8) died last evening after her brother Danish opened fire from a country-made pistol lying in their house.

The little girl was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.

Their parents were not at home when the incident took place, police said.
