Bodies of Delhi High Court blast victims handed over to relatives

The bodies of the 12 people killed in the Delhi High Court blast were today handed over to their relatives after post-mortem. Police and hospital authorities said the post-mortem was conducted during the day after which the bodies were handed over.

Twelve people, including a woman, were killed in the blast outside the high court yesterday morning.

There was some heated arguments at Lady Hardinge Hospital between authorities and relatives of victim Mehtab Singh Dabas when the former allegedly demanded money for clothes and polythene for wrapping the body.

Nizamuddin, 87, was the oldest among those killed in the blast which also claimed the life of a 55-year-old woman Nalini Aggarwal.

The youngest among the victims was 21-year-old Amanpreet from Guru Nanakpura in south-west Delhi.

Another octogenarian killed was Inderpal Singh Anand, 80, who resided in Geeta Colony in east Delhi.

The other victims were Darshan Lal Jain (75) from Shalcti Nagar, Harish Dutt Joshi (68) from Naraina, Pawan Bansal (62) from Gurgaon, Mehtab Singh Dabas (57) from Ghewra village, Ashok Kumar Sharma (55) from Palam, Vinod Jeswal (54) from Sarai Rohilla and Veerpal (52) from Gandhi Nagar and Pramod Kumar (40) from Harinagar.
