The BJP youth wing today warned of a nation-wide agitation in case the UPA reached an understanding with separatist elements in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and any move to reach an understanding with separatist elements or softening of stand towards them would lead to a nation-wide agitation ", Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president and MP Anurag Thakur said addressing a state level conference of youths and students in Lucknow.

"The students and youth of the country would be forced to launch an agitation for the unity and integrity of the country", Thakur warned.

Exhorting the youth to join hands for nation building, Thakur took a dig at Rahul Gandhi for not allowing students with their chappals on to an interactive programme during his recent visit to Akola in Maharashtra saying that the event exposed the real face of the party and its concerns for the youth and poor.

Stressing that it was time for the youth to go into struggle mode against the shortcomings in the UPA and BSP governments respectively at the centre and Uttar Pradesh especially those concerning the youth, Thakur said that merely pointing them out would serve no purpose.

Senior BJP leader and local MP Lalji Tandon also took potshots at Rahul Gandhi without taking his name saying that in BJP there is no "yuvraj" who goes about having dinners at Dalits' houses.

"Instead we earnestly work among them", he said.

In his address, BJP state president Surya Pratap Shahi recalled the sacrifice made by party ideologue Shyama Prasad Mukherji for proving that Kashmir is an integral part of India and said that today the UPA government is ready to bow before the separatist elements in Kashmir.
