BJP takes 2G battle to PM, say he is protecting guilty

Mounting its attack on P Chidambaram on Friday, the BJP accused prime minister Manmohan Singh of protecting the “guilty”. The party asked the PM what was more important for him: his confidence in his colleagues, or a fair and  transparent investigation?

BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad posed a question to the PM: “What was the compulsion to shield Chidambaram despite a dissent note from Government’s No. 2 man Pranab Mukherjee? Is the government shielding him because it fears that the heat of the fire will also reach PMO?”
