The Congress today described as 'opportunistic' the BJP staking claim to form a government with allies in Jharkhand, while Left parties called for dissolution of the house to stop 'horse trading'.
"The NDA has once again stitched up an unholy and opportunistic alliance. The governor should deeply study the situation before taking a decision," JPCC president Pradeep Kumar Balmachu said.
Had the house been dissolved earlier the BJP and allies would not have got any opportunity to team up which is not in the interest of the state," RJD’s state unit general secretary Manohar Yadav, CPI(M’s) state unit secretary JS Majumdar and his CPI counterpart BP Mehta said.
The RJD and Left parties demanded immediate dismissal of the assembly, now in suspended animation.
