BJP vice-president and MP Vinay Kumar today demanded resignation of Union home minister P Chidambaram for making certain remarks about 'saffron terrorism'.
Terming certain remarks by Chidambaram as 'derogatory', Kumar told a rally "the home minister should resign as he had made certain remarks about saffron which is one of the colours of our national flag".
"It is a betrayal to the nation and shows that the country's home minister does not know about the history of the nation", he said.
On the infiltration problem, the BJP leader said it was a grave threat to the nation.
"We need a non-violent agitation like the Assam stir spearheaded by All Assam Students Union to stop large scale infiltration from Bangladesh", he said.
