Accusing the BJP of failing to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the people of Jharkhand during its seven-year rule, the Congress today promised to address the people's requirements if voted to power.
"The BJP and its allies had ruled the state for seven years. They only managed to spread hatred while failing to meet expections of the people," AICC spokesman Shakeel Ahmed told a press conference here.
The Congress, he claimed, was the only party which took along people from all the sections while the BJP and its allies like Shiv Sena were playing politics with religious and linguistic minorities. He accused former chief minister Arjun Munda of promoting another Madhu Koda in corruption by allotting him his desired portfolios during the BJP-led NDA government.
On RJD supremo Lalu Prasad picking up price rise issue in his poll campaigning, Ahmed asked why he did not speak on price rice when he was in the previous UPA government despite the inflation touching 11%. He also said that it was the state government which should act against hoarding of essential commodities to curb prices.
