Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates has lauded Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for ushering in development in Bihar and assured him of financial assistance in the future.
"I had felt that development was taking place in Bihar and particularly so in the health sector," Gates said in a handwritten letter to Kumar.
The Microsoft chairman, whose Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has provided donation to the state government for polio immunization and vaccination in the past, said more lives could be saved in the wake of arrival of new vaccines.
"Our foundation will continue to make donations to the state in the health sector," Gates said and hoped that he would visit the state again.
