Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar today said the next meeting of the state cabinet would be held on a cruise ship on the river Ganga here.

"We will hold the next cabinet meeting on a cruise ship (Ganga Vihar) on the river Ganga," Kumar told reporters.

In a departure from convention to hold the meeting at the state secretariat here, Kumar had earlier called crucial meeting of the state cabinet at Barbighi village in Begusarai district and on Ratnagiri hills at Rajgir in Nalanda district.

Talking about his recent sojourn to Rajgir, Kumar said the place would be developed as "a new tourist attraction".

Terming as "useful and enriching" his stay at historic Rajgir city, he said, "My stay in Rajgir has given a clear message that we should learn to preserve our heritage, feel proud of our legacy and resolve to take Bihar to the same height for which ancient Nalanda and Rajgir were known for."

Stating that Rajgir had been a land of knowledge, Kumar said there was still a lot of scope for its development from promoting eco tourism to religious tourism to more archaeological excavations.

"We need to keep our heritage safe," he added.
