BJP general secretary Anant Kumar today said the results of the assembly elections in Bihar scheduled for 2010 end would have far reaching political significance in changing national level politics.

''The assembly elections in Bihar due to be held towards end of 2010 will prove to be extra-ordinary...its results will have far reaching significance as it will change the course of politics at national level'', Kumar said while addressing his party workers here.

Like the 1974 agitation led by Jayaprakash Narayan which had paved the way for political change in India, the state assembly elections and its results would lead to a new political change in the country, he said.

Terming as ''mahasangram'' the Bihar assembly elections, Kumar said its results would begin the countdown for the UPA government led by Manmohan Singh at the Centre and ''the NDA will be a major gainer''.

He congratulated chief minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy SK Modi for changing the face of Bihar and establishing rule of law.

''Nitish Kumar government is a government of success on all fronts'', Kumar said and highlighted the achievements of the state government during the past over four years.
