A bank employee committed suicide at her Satellite residence on Wednesday evening.
Police officials said that Shriya Ghosh Sharma, 7, who worked with IDBI bank in Satellite left for her home in the afternoon. Sharma then switched off her mobile phone.
At around 7 pm, some of her colleagues went to her house at Sant Vihar Apartment behind Medilink Hospital. When nobody opened the door, they forced open the door and found Sharma hanging from the ceiling.
Sources said that no suicide note was found at the spot of the incident. Police inspector of Satellite police station, HB Jamod told DNA, "The reason why the victim took the extreme step is not known."
Sources said that Sharma's parents are based in Jammu and she was living here alone. Officials said that they are waiting for Sharma's parents to claim her body.
