A week before prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh’s official visit to Dhaka, the website of Bangladesh High Commission, New Delhi has been hacked by a little known group which calls itself “Co-Cain Warriors”.

It appears the Bangladesh High Commission realised they had been hacked on Monday. By evening they had shut down their website (www.bhcdelhi.org) and launched damage control.

The High Commission officials refrained from saying anything on this incident. When the website was opened this morning all on the home page had been overwritten with “Hacked By Co-Cain Warriors”.

Prime Minister is expected to visit Dhaka from September 6 to 7 amidst several confidence, cooperation building measures from both sides in recent months.

In fact the Bangladesh High Commissions’ is not the only website that has been hacked and defaced. The group “Co-Cain Warriors” has also hacked Burma Centre Delhi’s website (www.burmacentredelhi.org).

According to its website “Burma Centre Delhi is a non-profit organisation which was formed with the aim to work for the restoration of peace, justice, democracy and human rights in Burma, India and other parts of the world. BCD strongly believes that India, the world’s largest democracy, can influence Burma and other countries of the world in bringing about peace and democratic transition.”

Since Monday morning the group, it appears, hacked two more websites.

The High Commission of the Republic of Mozambique to UK and Northern Ireland. The group has written on the home page: “Co-Cain Warriors Are HERE” and also four letter expletives “F**k UK”.
