Bajrang Dal activist stabbed to death in MP

Bhopal: A 35-year-old Bajrang Dal activist was stabbed to death by two persons in a temple here in Bhanpura area, police said today.

Deen Dayal Sharma, district head, Bajrang Dal's Gau Raksha Samiti, was killed and two of his associates Dinesh and Manish Agrawal were critically injured when the assailants -- identified as Jitu Pawar and Jai Prakash Shivhare attacked them with swords, last night, they said.

The incident took place when Sharma, also a priest of the temple, was offering prayers along with two others police said adding the accused later fled from the spot.

All the three were rushed to the hospital where Sharma was pronounced brought dead and the injured were said to be critical, they said.

Police suspect some sort of rivalry behind the attack and is investigating further and efforts are on to nab the assailants.
