Australia murder: NRI girl Tosha Thakkar cremated

NRI Tosha Thakkar, 24, who was murdered in Australia was cremated today.

Tosha, daughter of local businessman Sunil Thakkar, was allegedly raped and murdered on March 9 and her body was found stuffed in a suitcase near a canal in Sydney in Australia.

Her mortal remains that reached at Sardar Vallabhbhai international airport at around 3am, were brought to her residence in Bajwada locality before being consigned to flames at Khaswadi crematorium in Karelibag area.

Hundreds of people including BJP MP Balkrishna Shukla, local MLA Bhupendra Lakhwala, former health minister Nalin Bhatt joined her funeral procession.

Tosha, a student of accountancy in Sydney, was raped before she was murdered allegedly by her 19-year-old neighbour Daniel Stani-Reginald of Sri Lankan origin in Sydney on March 9.
