Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi lauds health schemes in state

Lauding the efforts of the health department, officials, doctors and nurses, the chief minister said the projects are a pointer to the fact that the state was marching ahead on the path of progress and development.

Assam chief minister Tarun Gogoi today lauded the number of health schemes launched in the state to benefit common people.

"History has been created with three health projects t coming up in a single day," he said inaugurating an auditorim and lecture house, a mother and child hospital and a new medicine block at Guwahati Medical College Hospital which is celebrating its golden jubilee year.

Lauding the efforts of the health department, officials, doctors and nurses, the chief minister said the projects are a pointer to the fact that the state was marching ahead on the path of progress and development.

The government intends to turn the Guwahati Medical College Hospital into a super speciality hospital and called on the doctors and nurses to continue serving the people with a human touch, he added.
