Arvind Kejriwal, Prashant Bhushan, Kiran Bedi meet Anna Hazare

Members of social activist Anna Hazare's team - Arvind Kejriwal, Prashant Bhushan and Kiran Bedi - on Sunday reached his native village Ralegan Siddhi in Maharashtra, to apprise him about the core committee meeting held Saturday at Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh.

"They will meet Annaji and give him details about the meeting in Ghaziabad yesterday," Allaudin Shaikh, trustee of Hazare's Hind Swaraj Trust, told IANS.

While Team Anna on Saturday declared that its core committee will not be disbanded, Shaikh said: "While I was with Annaji yesterday, he communicated that he will suggest the committee be disbanded and the powers do not rest with a few people. He would suggest that all members work as swayamsevaks."

"He will speak to the core members on this matter today and arrive at a decision," he added.

The team threatened that its members will campaign against the Congress party during next year's assembly polls if a strong Lokpal bill is not passed in the winter session of Parliament.

Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Goa and Manipur are expected to go to the polls early next year.

The meeting, attended by 20 of the 26 members, authorised Kejriwal, Bhushan and Bedi to brief Hazare on Sunday.
