Arms haul in Poonch; 1,900 rounds of AK, Pika rifles recovered

The Army recovered about 1,900 rounds including nearly 400 rounds of Pika rifles near Line of Control in Poonch district, police officials said.

Acting on a tip off, troops of 39 Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF launched a search operation near LoC in Salani area of Mendhar tehsil in Poonch district and recovered 1,500 rounds of AK rifles, 399 rounds of Pika rifles and 17 detonators today, they said.

However, no one was arrested in this regard.
