Separate police teams will be sent to New Delhi, Nagpur and Srinagar, to collect information in connection with the alleged suicide case of former IAF officer Anjali Gupta, officials said.

The teams would be sent to the three cities as Anjali had stayed there with suspended IAF officer Amit Gupta, they said.

Anjali had allegedly hanged herself from a ceiling fan at Amit's residence in Bhopal on September 11. Her family members have said she took the extreme step as Amit did not keep his promise of marriage despite the two being in a "live-in relationship" for long.

Last week, Amit was arrested in connection with the case and he continues to be in judicial custody as his bail application has been rejected.

Anjali had accused her senior Air Force officers of sexually abusing her. However, she was dismissed by the IAF in February 2006, after the allegations she had levelled against the officers, were found to be false.

She was later dismissed from service and was found guilty on seven counts, including indiscipline, insubordination and financial misappropriation.
