Ancient artefacts excavated from Ghaziabad village: Experts

Over two dozen artefacts, some of them dating back to the Mahabharata period, have been excavated from a village near Ghaziabad, experts claimed.

The earthen pitchers and utensils were found in Sadabad Jhakiva village, KK Sharma of MM College and Avnish Tyagi of KP Degree College said.

They said the objects belong to varying periods from 1 BC to the Mahabharata period (5000 BC - 6000BC).

The duo, who have been carrying out the excavations for the last six months, said that they have informed the Archaeological Survey of India about the find.
