Ahmedabad's Tata Docomo Divya Garba Mahotsav a big hit

People from all classes and sects of society turned up in large numbers at the Tata Docomo Divya Garba Mahotsav organised by Divya Bhaskar & DNA.

The garba event took place at AES ground in Memnagar, from October 8 to 16.

Young and old garba enthusiasts, flaunting traditional jewellery and multi-coloured costumes, made for a beautiful sight during the nine-night long event.

Divya Bhaskar has been organising this massive garba Mahotsav since five years now, and it has proved a hot favourite with advertisers and sponsors as well. Tata Docomo was the main sponsor at the event, while Future Generali, Vimal Refined Oils and Liverpool were co-sponsors.

Associate sponsors include Star CJ alive, Sheetal Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, Vitthal Construction Pvt Ltd, TVS, State Bank of India, Arena Animation, Shreem Developers (Green Acres), Pushp group of companies and The Grand Bhagwati. Fanta from the Pepsico stables was the beverage partner, Vasmol Rootz Almond Hair Oil was the hair care partner, Havmor was the ice-cream partner and 94.3 MY FM was the radio partner for the event.

Nine of the city's renowned orchestras made the public dance to their tunes. Participants were given attractive prizes, in the categories of Best performance (Male/Female), Best dress (M/F) and Best group performance. For spectators, attractions included group discount schemes, live coverage by Star News, performances by professional dance troupes, food courts and a lot more.

At the Tata Docomo Divya Garba Mahotsav, the scene was one of fun and enjoyment, even as the participants enjoyed dancing regardless of age, caste, gender and religion.
