A couple from Ahmedabad has been declared absconding after police found their house locked while investigating a theft case.
Amit Joginder Pal, a resident of Ghaziabad, had filed a complaint against his in-laws, accusing them of stealing ornaments. This brought Ghaziabad police to Ahmedabad looking for them. Interestingly, the house was locked, following which they were declared absconding.
Pal is married to Jitu Gill, daughter of Gopalchandra and Savita Gill. According to the complaint, the Gills had come to stay at their home for some time. They then returned to their home in Ahmedabad. After they left, Amit found gold jewellery worth Rs4 lakh missing. Suspecting his in-laws of theft, he filed a police complaint. The Ghaziabad police and Vastrapur police reached the Gill residence only to find it locked.Sources said, the Gills had filed a dowry complaint against Amit in Ghaziabad.
