The ruling National Conference was trying to divert people's attention from "bad governance" by raking up the issue of partial revocation of Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, National Panthers Party Sunday alleged.

"The Abdullahs want to divert the attention of people by making statements about the AFSPA," NPP chief Bhim Singh told reporters here, in a reference to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his father and Union Minister Farooq Abdullah.

He said the issue of unemployment was a major concern in Jammu and Kashmir and the state government has failed to address this problem.

The Panthers Party chief, who recently demanded a CBI inquiry into the death of National Conference worker Syed Mohammad Yousuf, alleged that the state government has gone "bankrupt, both financially and mentally".
