Ahmedabad: The 12-year-old girl, who was found abandoned at the Kalupur Railway station by a volunteer working with an NGO, has revealed that she was forced into prostitution by the orphanage where she lived. The girl, a resident of Kota in Rajasthan, said two people raped her while she was there.

A zero number complaint (cases where a crime has been committed in other state but a complaint is filed in a different state) has been filed with the Ellisbridge police station. The girl told the police that few days back some members of the orphanage asked her to go to a hotel near the orphanage.

The girl said she was taken to a hotel and was put up in a room."Two people then came to her room and raped her,"police inspector, Ellisbridge police station, PB Gadhvi told DNA.He said the girl was then taken back to the orphanage where she complained of abdominal pain.

"The rector thenforced her to leave the orphanage," he said. The girl was later handed over to one of her cousin, Sanju, who boarded a train to Ahmedabad from Kota."Sanju abandoned the girl at Kalupur Railway station and ran away," Gadhvi said.
