The child labourers, all of them trafficked from Bihar, were rescued from Nabi Kareem area of central Delhi. Eight of their employers were also taken into custody.

The Delhi police, labour department officials and NGOs Human Rights Law Network (HRLN) and Bachpan Bachao Andolan, in a joint operation, rescued 72 two child labourers from bag manufacturing units in the capital. Eight of their employers were also taken into custody.
The child labourers, all of them trafficked from Bihar, were rescued from Nabi Kareem area of central Delhi.
A representative of HRLN said the children were working in a miserable condition in bag manufacturing units in the area.
He said eight of the employers were taken into custody. The children were sent to rescue homes.
