45 people injured in bus-truck collision in Uttar Pradesh

The mishap occurred when the marriage party was returning from Bijnor to Suhagpur village in Dhampur area Sunday evening.

Forty five people were injured, five of them seriously, when a bus, carrying a marriage party, hit a stationary sugarcane laden tractor-trolley on Bijnor-Nehtaur road, police said here.
 
The mishap occurred when the marriage party was returning from Bijnor to Suhagpur village in Dhampur area Sunday evening. When the bus reached near Nangal village on Bijnor-Nehtaur road, the driver lost control over the vehicle and the bus rammed into the truck, they said.
 
Forty five passengers were injured in the incident and admitted at the district hospital, they said, adding five of the seriously injured were sent to Meerut.
 
A police team has been sent to the accident site, Haldaur SHO Rajiv Saxena said, adding further investigations are on.
