The body of a 28-year-old Tempo driver was found at a secluded spot near Navmaharashtra School in Pimpri on Tuesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Sandesh Suryabham Survase of Morya Colony in Tapkirnagar, Kalewadi. The police found that the victim’s neck was slashed with a weapon and detained four men, but didn't disclose their identities.
A case of murder was registered with Pimpri police station after one Krishna Kamble informed the police control room about the body.
Pimpri police station incharge inspector TD Gaud said, “Sandesh left home on Monday. Probe reveals that the detained men had hunted a pig and organised a party. We suspect that Sandesh was killed following an argument over the sharing of meat.”
