371 pirated CDs seized, shop owner arrested in Bhopal

Bhopal: A man was arrested for allegedly selling pirated CDs, some of them pornographic ones, from his shop under Habibganj police station area here today, police said.


Around 371 pirated CDs, including pornographic ones, were seized from a shop and its owner Umesh was arrested following a tip off, Habibganj City Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Singh Badhoria told PTI.

He said that Umesh used to bring CDs from Mumbai and copy them before selling them off from his shop situated near bus stop number 10 at Arera Colony.

The accused was arrested under relevant sections of Copyright Act, police said.
