2G scam: Raja whispers, Kanimozhi smiles

Clad in a light orange suit and red churidar, 43-year-old DMK MP Kanimozhi accompanied by her husband Aravindan and a battery of 11 party MPs, appeared before a special 2G court on Saturday.

Initially she was looking tensed but things turned other way round when former telecom minister A Raja whispered something in Tamil which bought back a smile to her face. During the hearing, Kanimozhi crossed her fingers and was updating friends via smses.

Seeing her tense, Raja patted her back and said, “Don’t take tension. It should be a routine affair now.”

On Friday, Kanimozhi was very hesitant to talk to Raja but on Saturday things were different and both were chatting continuously and were seen sharing jokes with each other. All this while Kanimozhi’s husband was sitting beside her.

Meanwhile, her  supporters made sure she was not feeling thirsty and hungry and bought fruit juices and bottle of mineral water. All the arrested persons were actually enjoying the court proceedings and one of the accused was saying that, “This place is better than Tihar.”Unitech’s chairman Sanjay Chandra was seen talking to his  wife who gave him Bhagwad Gita to read.
