2G scam: Bail on cards for Kanimozhi?

DMK MP Kanimozhi is expected to get relief from the walls of Tihar Jail as the CBI is likely to go soft on her bail plea when it comes up for hearing on October 17.

Highly placed sources in CBI said it has decided not to oppose the bail plea of Kanimozhi on the ground that she is a lady and has an added responsibility of looking after her family and a school-going child.

The CBI is also expected to go lenient on the bail pleas of director of Karim Morani, Cineyug Films, and ADAG executive Surendra Pipara on health grounds.

The CBI’s move has already been reflected in its reply filed on the bail pleas of Kanimozhi and Morani in which it had told the court that it may pass appropriate orders on their applications.
