Twenty-five students of a girls' school in East Midnapore district were being treated in hospitals when they fell sick after eating mid-day meal served in the school today, official sources said.
The girls of Moyna Balika Vidyalay at Dakshin Moyna, 20km from Tamluk, complained of nausea and abdominal pain after eating the meal, the sources said.
They were rushed to the Primary Health Centre at Moyna. Some of them were referred to Tamluk hospital, chief medical officer health Asit Guha said.
A medical team has been sent to the school from Tamluk, Guha said.
