2 Village Defence Committee members injured in militant attack in J&K

Two Village Defence Committee (VDC) members were seriously injured in a militant attack in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.
        
A group of militants hurled grenades and fired indiscriminately at the houses of Chuni Lal and Rakesh Kumar in Koti village around 12.50am today, they said.
        
The VDC members fired back and were injured in grenade blasts, they said, adding the two were airlifted to government medical college hospital in critical condition.
        
Militants, however, escaped from the spot, they added.
