Two different teams from Gujarat, one each from Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and the Detection of Crime Branch (DCB), will head to Mumbai in a day's time to study the modus operandi of the recent Mumbai blasts.

ATS is the nodal agency in charge of terrorist-related cases, while the DCB is the only agency so far to have arrested the maximum number of IM operatives.

The DCB recently arrested Danish Riaz, an accused in the Ahmedabad serial bomb blasts of July 2008. DCB has already on the look out for Riaz's subordinates active in various IM modules.

Confirming the teams' visit, the in-charge director general of police, Chitranjan Singh told DNA that, the members of these teams however have not yet been decided but two teams would leave by Friday.

Sources said that the two teams will conduct a thorough study of the FSL reports as well as the exact details of the bomb blasts in Mumbai. The teams will visit the sites of the blasts and will also interact with Mumbai cops regarding the same.

Sources said that the cops will also share the information with the DCB with regard to IM modules and the people absconding in the 26/7 blast case.

Teams from the Gujarat police also visited Pune and Varanasi after the German Bakery bomb blast as well as Varanasi bomb blasts.
