Two girls were rescued and a woman got arrested as the government railway police busted a trafficking gang at Badkulla in Nadia district today.

The two 20-year-old girls, who were travelling in a Sealdah-Lalgola local train, were rescued by the GRP at Badkulla station after the security personnel were alerted by a group of school teachers travelling in the train, GRP sources said.

The woman, who was taking the girls, was arrested.

The woman, believed to be an agent of a gang of woman traffickers, was identified as Jharna Bairagi.
