2 Ahmedabad bizmen held at Mumbai rave party

The Mumbai police raided a rave party in the Lokhandwala area of the city on Thursday night and arrested 22 persons, including two businessmen from Ahmedabad and one from Vadodara. Further,
two of the arrested are eunuchs and seven are call girls.

The raid was carried out by the Amboli police. Sources said that a high-profile model working for an export agency was also participating in the rave party.

Sources further said the police carried out the raid after receiving information that eunuch and call girls were also participating in the rave party. The police also seized large quantities of liquor, condom packets, 23 cell phones and Rs40,000 in cash.

The two businessmen from Ahmedabad who are among those arrested from the rave party are Daneshwar Magan Lal Pandya, and Manu Bhai Chandu Bhai Thakkar, both residents of Maninagar area. The Vadodara businessman has been identified as Suresh Thakkar, a resident of Fatehganj area of that city.

Most of the arrested persons (besides the two from Ahmedabad and one from Vadodara) are also businessmen. They had come from places as far away as New Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. Sources said that Suresh Thakkar has several criminal cases pending against him and has been living in Mumbai for the last 3-4 years.

The police carried out the raid after receiving information that eunuch and call girls were part of the rave. Large quantities of liquor, condom packets, 23 cell-phones and Rs40,000 in cash were seized.
