18-year-old girl found dead in West Bengal

An 18-year-old girl, claimed to be belonging to a family of CPI(M) supporters, was found dead in Nandigram area of East Midnapore district, police said.

Dipanita Jana, a first-year student of Moisadhul College had gone to to her college on Saturday, but went missing thereafter. They added, her body was found along the river Haldi yesterday.

Local CPI(M) leaders claimed that the victim's family has been a supporter of their party.

No arrests, however, have been made in the case so far.
