Instensifying the drive against stone pelters, Jammu and Kashmir police today arrested 14 youths and booked them under relevant provisions of the law.
The stone pelters were arrested by police from Chota Bazar and Guroo Bazar localities of the city, a police spokesman said.
He said a case under different sections of the Ranbir Penal Code has been registered against the arrested youth at Shaheed Gunj police station.
The crackdown on the stone-pelters was intensified in the city after separate mobs made repeated attempts to set ablaze Karan Nagar and Nowhatta police stations over the past few days.
Yesterday, police arrested eight miscreants who allegedly tried to set ablaze Nowhatta police station on the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday.
