Waqas while living in Munnar had financial problems and had received an amount of Rs 25,000 from someone called Ahmad through Western Union money transfer.

"Riyaz who is in Pakistan had given instruction to Tehseen to join Waqas in Munar in plan out operation in various states in the country. Tehseen was told to stay in hotel but since it was Christmas time, all hotels were occupied and he had to stay with him," said the officer.
