More than 250 scholars, writers, and artists are expected to participate over these three editions, which will kick-start in Kolkata in December
Media conglomerate ZEE will be launching a three-city cultural festival ‘Arth – A Culture Quest’ with an aim to celebrate India’s rich heritage and discover its soul. Featuring myriad scholars and artists from across the country and overseas, the event will be a confluence of India’s cultural diversity and will bring to the audience a wide range of activities including panel discussions, cultural performances, workshops, visual art installations, live art etc.
More than 250 scholars, writers, and artists are expected to participate over these three editions, which will kick-start in Kolkata in December. It will be followed by a regional show in Pune in January and a finale in New Delhi on February 8, 9 and 10, 2019.
Shreyasi Goenka is the Founder of the property. Dr Vikram Sampath is the Festival Director. Advisory panel includes renowned names like Dr Sonal Mansingh, Amish Tripathi, Hindol Sengupta and Sudhir Chaudhary.
Speaking about the concept of ‘Arth’, ARTH founder and Saath Saath Arts Foundation, Jaipur Sculpture Park co-director Shreyasi Goenka said, “At ZEE, we have always endeavored to build new and exciting platforms for the society to connect with the rich diversity of cultures in our country. The core concept of Arth is to bring alive the best of everything India has to offer across various fields in a manner that is collectively interesting, informative and enriching.”
The festival will feature celebrated artists, writers and distinguished individuals including TV Mohandas Pai, Sonal Mansingh, Ricky Kej, Bombay Jayashree, Pt. Vishwamohan Bhatt, Tijan Bai; internationally renowned scholars Koenraad Elst, Rajiv Malhotra, Subhash Kak, Manjul Bhargava, Lord Meghnad Desai, David Frawley, Alex Michaels, Vijay Bhatkar, Makarand Paranjpe, etc.
