Zee Jaipur Literature Fest: Bard's corner- From editor to poet

Dna's editor-in-chief CP Surendran on Friday read from his poetry collection 'Portraits of the Space We Occupy' during a poetry hour at the Zee Jaipur Literature Fest. Surendran also read new poems from his in-progress collection, 'Repeat Radio'. His dominant themes included his nostalgic remembrance of his dead father, wonder at the beauty of existence, and the fragility of life. The poetry hour also included Ruth Padel, Kevin Powers, Aidan Singh Bhati, Vishvjit Singh, and Ashok Vajpeyi. It was a multi-lingual poetry session, featuring the use of Hindi and Rajasthani besides English. The well-attended session saw much applause for each of the poets who participated.
