Youth involved in shooting spree dies

 A 22-year-old youth, who allegedly went on a shooting spree last Friday killing two women and a child along with his friend before turning the gun on himself, died on Monday during treatment, police said.

With this, the number of those died in the incident in Swaroop Nagar rose to five. His friend Rajbir also died in the incident.

Manish and Rajbir allegedly went on a shooting spree killing two women -- their love interest-- and the latter's daughter. Rajbir shot himself dead after opening fire at his wife Pooja and two children, one of whom died.

Manish had also shot himself but was undergoing treatment.

The three other injured persons including Rajbir's brother Kishan, Pooja and daughter Rashi (3) have been admitted in Sir Ganga Ram hospital where doctors said their conditions was stable.

Police claimed that Rajbir allegedly shot at his brother Kishan over a property dispute while Manish targeted Jyoti, who had rejected his proposal. Rajbir shot dead Usha, a teacher whom he wanted to marry.
