The Hindu Convention in Goa concluded with a resolution to convert India and Nepal into 'Hindu Rashtras' even as the Goa government warned the organisers of stern action if they try to propagate communal disharmony in the state.

Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, issue of beef ban and ban on Pramod Muthalik in Goa dominated the final day of the convention. In a news conference organised here, leaders of the convention vociferously raised these issues.

"Now we have our government in Uttar Pradesh and we have full faith in Yogiji to build the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya before 2019 Lok Sabha election," T Raja Singh, BJP MLA from Telangana, said.

The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti demanded a Maharashtra-like law with regard to beef in Goa. "Goa should enact a law on the lines of Maharashtra. How can there be two sets of laws on same issue?" said Ramesh Shinde,

National spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Another leader from the convention raised the issue of ban on Ram Sene leader Pramod Muthalik in Goa and called it a "shameful act" of Goa government.

The government has however reacted very strongly on the issues raised during the convention. "We will not tolerate anybody spreading communal disharmony in Goa. The government will act sternly to contain such tendencies", said Vijai Sardesai, senior minister in the government, speaking on behalf of the government.

He ridiculed Sadhvi Saraswati who had demanded public hanging for those eating beef. "Some people create controversies for cheap publicity. We cannot lock their mouths. But if they aim to take law into their own hands, we will come down heavily on such elements," he said.

He defended the 'no entry' to Muthalik stating that such persons were not welcome in Goa and the ban will continue.
