After BJP Dalit MP from Robertsganj Chhote Lal Kharwar, now a Dalit MLA from party’s coalition partner has opened a front against Chief minister Yogi Aditayanath. The Apna Dal Dalit MLA from Duddhi reserved Assembly seat in Sonebhadra district Hariram Cherro has accused the Chief Minister Yogi Aditayanth of lacking the administrative experience to run the government.

The Apna Dal had won 9 assembly seats after having an alliance with the BJP in 2017 Assembly polls. It is a coalition partner in Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh.

“The Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lacks experience in administration and has failed to run the government effectively in the last one year. As a result, development is not taking place on expected lines,” charged Cherro.

“The Chief Minister pays no respect to elected representatives and does not listen to suggestions by his own MLAs about launching development works and welfare schemes in their areas,” he charged.

Cherro claimed that it was due to this reason elected representatives were going to the media and writing to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention in the Uttar Pradesh governance.

The Apna Dal Dalit MLA alleged majority of the Dalit legislators representing backward areas feel neglected under their own government. Cherro said that he will meet the Apna Dal Chairperson and Union Minister Anupriya Patel to talk to the Chief Minister in this regard or review party’s tie with the BJP.

“If we failed to live up to people’s expectations then how will we face them in polls? They elected us to deliver but due to the administrative indifference of this government, no development works are being carried out in backward areas,” he charged.

The Apna Dal Dalit MLA threatened to hold dharna against the Chief Minister whenever he visits Sonebhadra.  He is particularly annoyed with illegal mining in his constituency and benefits of welfare schemes and development not reaching to his assembly constituency Duddhi.

Earlier, the BJP MP from Roberstganj Chhote Lal Kharwar had shot off a letter to the PM accusing Yogi Adityanath of scolding him and throwing out of office when he went to meet the Chief Minister over issued plaguing his parliamentary constituency.

Three more BJP Dalit MPs Savitri Bai Phule, Ashok Dohre and Dr Yashwant Singh have also pulled up their own government on issues related to reservations to Dalits in private jobs and promotions and atrocities during Bharat Bandh.

The BJP National President Amit Shah will be in the State Capital Lucknow on a two-day visit to meet the disgruntled MPs and MLAs and hold deliberations with the ministers and organization functionaries to remove their grievances and quell voices of dissent.
