If reports were to be believed, Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader Yogendra Yadav may soon be dropped from the party's highest decision-making body - the Political Affairs Committee (PAC).

Following the National Executive meeting on Friday, the informal discussion was held, where the party discussed its future course of action. It was also decided that party chief Arvind Kejriwal will continue to play dual role of chief minister and AAP's National Convenor.

According to reports, another meeting was held on Friday but Yadav was absent in this meeting.

"The Delhi unit of AAP was unhappy as it claimed that the party already had a strong filter to weed out candidates who don't meet the party standards," said a senior party leader.

Earlier, in his letter, Yadav had written, "Arvind is turning into a personality cult that can damage an organisation and the leader himself. Major decisions of the party appear to, and indeed do, reflect the wishes of one person; when he changes his mind, the party changes its course of action; proximity to the leader comes to substitute for organisational roles and responsibilities. Since all the decisions and successes are credited to one person, all the blame also begins to accumulate at the doors of one person. He had also alleged that the party was suffering from a serious deficit in policy thinking.

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia had then come to Kejriwal's rescue and in turn blamed Yadav for discussing internal problems of the party on a public platform without consulting the PAC.

What is to be seen is if Yogendra Yadav will be able to save his seat once after the PAC is rejigged by Arvind Kejriwal.
