Buoyed after the Bihar by-poll results, Janata Dal (United) leader Ali Anwar today said that they would like to include the Left parties in the current RJD- JD (U)-Congress alliance to strengthen it further.

Exuding confidence about the prospects of the Lalu-Nitish alliance, Anwar said, "This alliance will not only flourish, it will also expand. We also want to include Left parties in this and form a strong alliance to fight the assembly polls."

Speaking to ANI, Anwar also said, "Till now there hasn't been a government so far whose popularity has dipped this much in the first three months of coming to power." He also stated that all those who believe in secularism, democracy, and want decentralization of power will unite together.

The JD (U) - RJD - Congress alliance in Bihar won six of the ten seats in the Bihar by-polls, while BJP won only four. In the May general elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had won 31 of Bihar's 40 parliamentary seats.
